Soft 5 is guar hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride which is modified from guar gum. It has been widely used in transparent shampoos, body wash, bath and shower lotions and other personal care products as excellent conditioner, viscosifier and thickener. The normal use level is 0.2% by weight.
